Lost Tribe Sound Heavy, sluggish, dark, meditative slabs of rhythm and grinding minimal Nordic-like instrumentation. The kind of stuff I'm always looking for, but rarely ever find. Non-vocal, uncluttered, long-form beastly sound. Hrafnagaldr has some other ritual slog well worth check out, but none remain as focused and consistent as Hrímhjarta. Almost like stripping Undirheimar or Nordvargr down to their core, deep brutal drumming and decaying atmospheres.

"Hrímhjarta" is devoted to the black witch, the mighty crone Gullveig and the piercing Nifl current. To celebrate it's completion, Hrímhjarta was performed in its entirety at Cascadian Yule 2022.

A sonic invocation of thursian sorcery that rips the spirit away from the warmth of Sól. A journey down the isolated and desolate roads of the underworld.

This piece was written to invoke the Nifl-current as the longest night approached. A meditative ritual to gaze into the yawning gap with burning eyes and a frozen heart.
